(But hey, Relena’s fairy dress does look weird in that area, and at least she’s wearing clothes, unlike some official art.)

Challenge # 003: Exactly 500 Words

Hello everybody!

Welcome to gw500, the DreamWidth mirror to gw500. This comm is brand new, so to celebrate, we’ll have special introductory prompts for the first three weeks. Let’s ring in this little comm in style!

In my timezone it is the evening of Friday, October 8th, which means that it’s time for our next challenge. You still have until midnight in your own timezone to get fics for challenge number two in, but your new challenge is to write a fic of exactly 500 words.

If you’re having trouble thinking of a topic for your fic, drop me a line and I’ll provide you with a unique, personalized prompt. This option will not be available anymore after this week! Don’t despair; you don’t have to take future prompts literally or defend your results when your fic doesn’t make the inspiration obvious. If the prompt is “beer” and you happen to know an interpretation or association of the word that doesn’t exist in English, such as how beer actually means “bear” in Dutch, you are absolutely free to write something about bears, or whatever else it makes you think of, instead.

You have until midnight of today in your own time zone to get the previous challenge in. I have no idea when this is, so do feel free to abuse that mystery deadline where needed. ;) The next prompt will be posted on Friday, October 15th.
