Ship tags are arranged with the characters in alphabetical order. So it's Alex x Bundt, not Bundt x Alex.



Any character name you don’t recognize is most likely from one of the more obscure side materials. Frozen Teardrop in particular has recently dumped heaps of new named characters into the GW-verse, as well as given names to characters who previously had none, or only partial ones. Feel free to ask questions if any of the tags - names or otherwise - confuse you. You are, of course, in no way obliged to use the spellings from the community tags in your fics, especially since many of them contradict themselves varying on the source cited (in which case I just went with the ones I liked best)! Nor does GW500’s use of names, parts of names, and aliases used only in side stories, tie-in materials, et cetera mean that posting here requires you to adopt any of them.



A few notes about the following tags:


- “Blond Guy at St Gabriel Institute/Kai”: the blond boy at Relena’s school who challenged Heero to a fenching match. His name is taken from AboutGundamWing.Com. Supposedly it is mentioned in the series novelization.

- “Circus Manager/Hawthorne”: his name is taken from AboutGundamWing.Com. Supposedly it is mentioned in the series novelization.

- “Darlian - Mrs/Maryne”: Relena’s adoptive mother, who was given a first name in Frozen Teardrop. Spelling subject to change depending on what romanization of ???? [mari~ne] becomes most popular.

- “Dermail Catalonia - Duke”: referred to in the anime only as Duke Dermail, but Frozen Teardrop gave clarification on his full name. Since he is Dorothy’s grandfather, and her father, Dermail’s son, was also a Catalonia, it is only logical that Dermail would bear the same family name, but since “Dermail” could pass for a surname in and of itself, it was not 100% clear previously.

- “Howard - Mike”: either Frozen Teardrop or The Glory of Losers gave him a full name. Apparently, Howard was his family name.

- “Lady Une/Cordelia FitzGerald”: from Frozen Teardrop. Born Cordelia FitzGerald, she changed her name to Lady Anne when she met Treize and he told her something about elegance and how her name reminds her of Anne of Green Gables, the titular character of which fantasizes about having Cordelia’s name. So, a pretty typical day for her. (Yes, I said Lady Anne. Let’s despair together.)

- “Puppy Girl (unnamed)”: okay, she doesn’t have a name and teeechnically should thus not be on the list. But in my experience, she is the one unnamed character who does appear regularly in fic, so she gets a special mention.

- “Quatrine Winner (Sr.)”: this is a non-canonical spelling. Episode Zero gives Quatre’s mother’s name as “Catherine”. I chose to use Quatrine instead because we already have Catherine Bloom and Katrina Peacecraft in the anime (and even Kathy Po in Frozen Teardrop). Distinctive spellings helps keep them apart. And hey, who doesn’t like a good pun? ;) In this light, “Quatrine Oud Winner (Jr.)” should be self-evident.

- “Tubarov Villemont - Chief Engineer”: similar to Dermail, he is referred to only as Chief Engineer Tubarov in the anime, but gained a full name in Frozen Teardrop. The spelling without an “s” is based on the English dub; the original Japanese pronounces it as Tsubarov.

- “Walker - Lieutenant/Oswald”: the first name Oswald is an addition from the Endless Waltz: The Glory of Losers manga.

- “Winner - Mr/Zayeed Tabla”: his first name appears in the novelization of the series as well as Frozen Teardrop, which also added the middle name.



If you mix up any of the character tags below, I reserve the right to nitpick at you until you change them, or to change them myself. ;)

The pilot of gundam Heavyarms who appears throughout the anime. He went most his life being nameless, but adopted the moniker Trowa Barton when he witnessed the original’s murder. Episode Zero confirms that his birth name is Triton Bloom; he is Catherine Bloom’s long-lost younger brother.	Appears in Endless Waltz. He was Dekim Barton’s son, Leia Barton’s brother, and thus Mariemeia’s uncle, and he was the original candidate to pilot gundam Heavyarms. He is killed and his name is adopted by a nameless mechanic who happened to witness the murder.	Appears in Frozen Teardrop. His role and background are not yet entirely clear at this point in time.	The pilot of Wing gundam who appears throughout the series. Doctor J gives him the code name Heero Yuy to use during Operation Meteor. Frozen Teardrop reveals that his parents were Odin Lowe, a man he is also seen travelling with in Episode Zero, and a spy called Aoi Clark. However, Heero’s real name remains a mystery.	A famous political leader of the colonies who advocated demilitarization and colonial independence. In the year AC 175, he was assassinated by OZ sniper Odin Lowe. Twenty years later, this inspired the five gundam developers to seek revenge through Operation Meteor. The pilot of Wing gundam who appears throughout the series was assigned his name as a code name.	Appears in Episode Zero. The mother of Quatre Raberba Winner, the pilot of gundam Sandrock who appears throughout the anime. She dies soon after Quatre is born because she insisted on giving birth naturally despite certain fatal reproductive abnormalities that run in the Winner family.	Appears in Frozen Teardrop. Her role and background are not yet entirely clear at this point in time.

And last but not least, a fully illustrated character guide of the entire named cast. Only characters from the animated materials for now. To be expanded/updated and accompanied by similar lists of characters from sidestories in the near future.
