Story title: Mixed Blend

Summary: They meet over coffee.
A/N: Why am I so hooked on Wufei/Catherine? I have no idea.
The first time he tasted her coffee was when Trowa brought him back to the circus after his humiliating defeat against Treize. Trowa warned him of the quality, but he was still unprepared for the very, very bitter taste.
The second time he visited, he was a Preventer, and he brought the coffee along – a roasted blend from Morocco. Catherine managed to unearth an old coffee grinder from somewhere, spent nearly an hour cleaning the thing, and then made a really good coffee that the whole circus got to taste.
The third time, he brought a French blend. Catherine ground the beans, made the coffee, and shared with the entire circus again.
The fourth time, he only brought enough beans to make five cups – two for them and one for Trowa, who mercifully excused himself after the first cup. This blend was Brazilian.
The fifth time, he’d been to investigate on one of L3’s agricultural colonies. He brought coffee beans with him from space, and Trowa excused himself to sit somewhere else and taste what was almost his home, while Wufei and Catherine sat outside and sipped the coffee. The rest of the circus had mysteriously not been invited, even though there was enough for them as well.
The sixth type of coffee they tried was at a coffee house in Brussels, because Catherine had shown up outside Preventer headquarters and invited him along. Wufei ordered a normal cappuccino. Catherine ordered hot chocolate with whipped cream.
“I’m not actually all that fond of coffee,” she explained.
Wufei almost choked on a sip. “Then why didn’t you say so sooner?” he asked.
Catherine shrugged. “You’re so skittish. Letting you educate me in the way of coffee beans was a good way of ensuring that you would keep coming around.”
Wufei almost scalded the inside of his mouth drinking his cappuccino so quickly. Catherine was kind enough to pretend that was the reason behind his red face.
